Leary and Cox was formed in 2014 but commenced operations on the 1st of July 2005 as Noel Leary and Associates. Based in Hobart, the firm is involved in all the aspects of Land and Engineering surveying in the greater Hobart area as well as across the state as required. In February 2020, Daniel Cripps joined the business as a partner thus becoming Leary Cox and Cripps.

Resourcing
With our staff of 12 operating a range of equipment and software, Leary Cox and Cripps have the capacity to deliver a range of survey services within specified timeframes. We have vast experience providing surveys for sites of all scales ranging from residential allotments through to engineering projects that cover many kilometres.
Methodology
In line with any scope defined by our clients, equipment including conventional and robotic Total Stations, Real Time Kinematic GPS/GNSS, 3D Laser Scanning and Drone LiDAR/photogrammetry are used to capture field data including Topography, Existing Built Structures and other features as required. Surveys are processed and delivered in 3D CAD and plan view PDF formats.

Our documented approach to Workplace Health and Safety and internal Quality Assurance Systems have enabled us to gain an excellent reputation within the industry.
Our team
We currently have 12 staff consisting of three registered surveyors, full time qualified surveyors, survey technicians, survey assistant and admin staff. Staff are trained in the use of the latest equipment and software putting us in a position to be able to provide complete and accurate survey deliverables in a timely manner.
